Intelligent Media started with a dream. Actually, it was more of a nightmare.

Our founders surveyed the crumbling sports media landscape–ever fragmenting while treating its creators and readers worse each day–and knew there must be something better out there. The only problem?

There really wasn’t.

So they started building something that would be.

Ray LeBov – Founder – Director of Content

B.A. from Yale University and J.D. from the University of Southern California.

Owner of Ray LeBov and Associates lobbying and consulting firm as well as Capitol Seminars.

Executive Director of the Association for Professional Basketball Research (i.e. the world’s’ pre-eminent professional basketball historians organization) since 2010.

Founder, publisher, curator and editor of Basketball Intelligence (BI), including a daily email of the best 20-25 NBA-related internet stories as well as original content and podcasts.


Kelly Scaletta – Founder – Editor-In-Chief

Spent 4.5 years in the USAF before attending University of Minnesota, Bible college in Anaheim and 15 years in youth ministry.

Basketball blogger-turned-NBA Featured Columnist with Bleacher Report, BBallBreakdown, Fansided, The Step Back, Hoops Habit, SportsNet, Vantage Sports, Dime and FanRag, among others, accumulating over 25 million views.

Former full-time NBA Assistant Editor at FanRag (2016-18). An NBA Twitter staple: Well-connected and respected among today’s finest basketball writers.


Joel C. Cordes – Founder – Director of Development

Bleacher Report’s former NBA Associate Editor (2012-17). Previously served in key B/R NBA columnist, video host and writer training posts (2009-12) during B/R’s industry-changing rise and NBA-driven buyout by Turner Sports.

Former high school history teacher, basketball coach and play-by-play broadcaster; NBA podcast host, locker room reporter (Minnesota Timberwolves, Vikings, Twins, Wild) and radio host/producer. Most recently Managing Editor of TravelPulse.com.
