In this second episode of TBW’s Basketball by Association podcast, Joel C. Cordes and Arky Shea figure out the 6-team race for the Western Conference’s final playoff spot.
Though the Memphis Grizzlies currently hold the seed, they’re being chased by the New Orleans Pelicans, Sacramento Kings, Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs and Phoenix Suns.
They also dig the Eastern Conference’s final seed, where 4 teams are all in the mix.
Then, it’s into the hypothetical scenario of starting a team with one of the young game’s youngest stars: Would you take Trae Young, Luka Doncic or Zion Williamson? Is there really even a wrong answer?
Arky hits Joel with his “Random Question of the Week”—this time on the Houston Rockets—and they also discuss why contemporary sports media has sold itself to clickbait and covering seemingly everything else except the game itself.
